By creating an account, connecting a device as a family tablet, or otherwise using TidyChore, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
You must be at least 13 years old to create an adult or owner account. Child-role members can be added by a parent or legal guardian who manages the household. By adding a kid profile, you confirm you are that child's parent or guardian.
You are responsible for what happens in your household — the members you invite, the chores you assign, the photos you upload. Keep your sign-in credentials private. Anonymous family-tablet sessions are tied to a specific household via your invite code; anyone with the code can connect a tablet to your household, so share it only with people you trust.
You own the data you create in TidyChore. By using the app, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and sync your data solely to provide the service. All household data is isolated at the database level; no other household can read it. If you leave a household, the content you created stays for the remaining members unless you delete your account outright.
The free plan includes core features with the following caps:
Free-tier users see non-personalized, G-rated, child-directed ads at the bottom of core screens.
Premium subscriptions are billed through Apple or Google Play. Subscriptions auto-renew until you cancel them at least 24 hours before the end of the billing period. Manage or cancel your subscription through your device's app-store settings. Refunds follow Apple's and Google's respective refund policies — we do not process payments directly.
TidyChore offers a referral program where both the referrer and the new household receive a Premium bonus. Each household may redeem one referral code. You may not use your own referral code. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the referral program at any time.

You are solely responsible for content you create within TidyChore — task names, chore descriptions, messages, shopping items, and photos. Content is visible to members of your household. We don't proactively monitor household content but we can remove content that violates these terms.
We work hard to keep the service up but can't guarantee uninterrupted availability. Features may change, move, or be retired with reasonable notice. Ship-breaking changes to a premium-only feature will honor any active subscription.
TidyChore, its design, code, features, and branding are the intellectual property of the TidyChore team. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works based on the app without our written permission.
TidyChore is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or freedom from errors. You use the app at your own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) US$25. We recommend keeping important information backed up outside the app.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the TidyChore team from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your violation of these terms or your use of the service.
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, except where your local consumer-protection rules apply. Disputes are resolved in the appropriate courts of that jurisdiction, or via binding arbitration where permitted by law.
We may update these terms as TidyChore evolves. Material changes will be announced in the app or via email. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
